My newsletter has migrated over to Substack! The good news is there’s nothing you need to do to keep receiving updates in your inbox from me 😀

• Reading wrap-ups in which I rave about the books I’m loving

• Occasional other recommendations

• Behind the scenes insights into the creation of my novels and the writing life

To be honest, I resisted starting a Substack for a long time. I follow quite a few wonderful authors and reviewers on this platform, and all of them were writing such amazing things, I thought, does the world REALLY need me on there as well? I sometimes struggle to keep on top of all the admin work of being an author – newsletters, social media, accounting (shudder) as well as writing two books a year – so was reluctant to add ANOTHER THING to my life, but then my wonderful virtual assistant Annie suggested we migrate my newsletter list here and she was VERY convincing.

Reasons why I’ve decided to switch to Substack 👉👈

• There is no limit on subscribers – none of us have to pay to play

• New subscribers can read back from the archives of old newsletters and posts

• It’s more community focused – you can comment on (or even like) my newsletters

• Sometimes I have something to say that doesn’t fit in my monthly newsletter but is more than I want to post on Facebook or Instagram. Substack is more like a blog, so I will be able to share some longer posts with those of you who want more behind-the-scenes insights about my writing, research for my novels, writer friendships, and more in-depth thoughts on the books I’m reading.
